Myres and his wife Julian Agaba had practical lessons of living by faith during their 2 years of unemployment that drove them to seek and serve the Lord diligently. The prayer of ‘give us this day our daily bread’ was very common in their lives. At the end of these wonderful years Myres had a brief secular employment in Mbale and then in January 2018 had another employment in Kampala.
Towards moving to Kampala, Pr. Myres prayed to God for a direction about which church he should attend and didn’t get a clear direction until he went to Dominion Church International Mbuya due to the relationship it has with Pearl Haven Christian Center Mbale (mother church) and Convenience from work and where he stayed.
Still necessity was laid upon Pastor Myres Agaba to effectively reach out to people and soul winning which he tried to achieve through Pearl Haven Kampala Fellowship but couldn’t. Pr. Myres however continued to pray for a door to start a Gospel Ministry in Kampala
During a period when Pr. Myres was sick due to an incident that left him with a head injury and a broken leg, he was privileged to be visited by Pastor Wilberforce Okumu the president of Living Water Ministries Uganda/ Senior Pastor of Pearl Haven Christian Center Mbale (his Spiritual Father). In their discussion, he saw a cloud like a hand of man and was glad because he knew it was about to rain.
On 27th December 2018 together with Pastor Emmanuel Tushabe, what had been planned to be a courtesy visit to say bye to Pastor Okumu as they headed back to Kampala ended up confirming what was in their hearts and were determined to start a ministry in Kampala. Three meetings happened after which Pr. Myres was given a go ahead by Pastor Okumu to make a feasibility study and plan to start a Ministry as the Lord was leading him in Kampala Uganda.
Covering
Pr. Myres Agaba requested his spiritual father Ps. Wilberforce Okumu to give him a spiritual covering which was honoured.
